Cucumber Mint Limeade- Featuring Barluxe Timeless Drinkware

Cucumber Mint Limeade- Featuring Barluxe Timeless Drinkware

Over the past years,  I've collected many glasses.  But do I really need a different glass for every beverage that we drink?  Probably not!  They eventually chip or break as my children are unloading the dishwasher and we are left with a mess.

My husband recently complained about all of the mismatched glasses in our cabinets.  That was just the push I needed to find a new set.

I was happy to receive a set of drink ware from the Hudson Collection made with Tritan™ plastic from Eastman to review.  Accidents happen!  They won't scratch or chip.  They're stackable.  Their simple design makes them perfect for everyday.

I had family in town this weekend and decided to make some drinks.  It was the perfect time to catch up and enjoy a drink in my new set of glasses.

We sipped on cucumber mint limeade.  I sat back and relaxed knowing they are durable and won't break.

They're dishwasher safe, so cleanup was easy.

Cucumber Mint Limeade

Ingredients
 1 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup cucumbers; peeled and sliced
1/4 cup mint leaves
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
*additional mint and cucumbers for garnish

Directions
In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of water, sugar and fresh mint until sugar has dissolved completely.  Allow mixture to cool.  In a blender, puree cucumbers, mint and simple syrup.  Strain liquid through a fine mesh sieve.  Mix lime juice, cucumber puree and remaining 2 cups of water in a pitcher.  Stir to combine.  Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.  Garnish with cucumber slices and more mint over ice. .

  26. Brandi, I'm with you on the plastic glasses, and they're so attractive nowadays. I picked up a few at Home Goods when I bought the tropical comforter. Yeah, there was too much cool stuff in the store, Couldn't resist.

  27. Brandi!
I'm dying here :0) I have a VERY similar version of this on my blog that's supposed to be posted in the next few weeks. This is one of my favorite drinks, except I make it with lemonade (and slices of lime).
I served it at our son's brunch birthday last month. It's soooo good!
Love seeing that another creative mind likes the same thing :0)
