Fall Shelf Decor

Fall Shelf Decor
I love the idea of open shelving and wanted to incorporate the look somewhere in my house.  We had an empty wall in the dining room that was begging to be filled.  So I purchased a couple of unfinished shelves from Hobby Lobby, which I primed and painted white.  The next step was to fill the shelves with some of my favorite decor items that had been stored away in cabinets.

Fall Shelf Decor
I love this time of year and thought it would be fun to decorate the shelves for fall.

Fall Shelf Decor
I have a small collection of milk glass.

I love how this planter looks filled with dried magnolia leaves.

Fall Shelf Decor
I'm a sucker for anything with beaded details.

Fall Shelf Decor
I borrowed the boxwood wreath from my front door.

Fall Shelf Decor
I added a few mini pumpkins.

 Fall Shelf Decor
I found this plate at West Elm.  Cute right!

FYI- I hung the shelves using my easy method.

Fall Shelf Decor
I wanted to keep things simple and natural.  Natural objects are beautiful and inexpensive.

My head is spinning with Christmas ideas!

  23. Love everything about it, Brandi! I would never have thought to put pretty leaves in a planter. Brilliant, and so pretty. With your gorgeous wall color it's all such a warm and cozy fall display.
p.s. your shelf hanging method beats mine any day of the week. Mine involves eyeballing, lots of spackle and paint, and a few naughty words.
    I'll try yours next time.
