Thibaut Orissa: My New Dining Room Pillows

As soon as I saw it, there was no question- I had to have it.  I fell in love!  It was the most beautiful chair I had ever seen.  But it was expensive, very expensive.  The chair was refurbished by artist Andrea Mihalik and sold in her Etsy shop.  There was no way I could ever justify spending that much money on a chair.  Unless, in my husband's words, it(the chair) got up and made me breakfast everyday- ha!  Oh well.  My love for the chair didn't die though, so I searched for a cheaper alternative.

After searching for months, I was able to locate the name of the fabric, but $68 per yard was way more than I wanted to spend.  Then after doing a Google search, the heavens parted and the angels sang.  I was able to locate an affordable pair of pillow covers for sale on Ebay.  Yes!  I was quite excited and I couldn't wait for them to arrive in the mail.

I love the pattern.  The colors work well in the room too.

The dining room is still a work in progress, but for now, I'm pleased with how things are coming together.

  3. Brandi, the same thing happened to me with some chairs I got at Target. Little did I know they were made out of a Duralee fabric that was very expensive by the yard. I found a fabric store advertising it on Ebay for half of what everyone else wanted. I snapped up more than I needed in yardage, and am happy I did. I did a post on it in my blog in case you are interested. I love your chairs and the color and pattern of your pillows.
