Watermelon Slush

Ah summer... Summer is the best time for fun drinks to cool off with. Summertime is coming to a close, but it's not over yet.

I've been celebrating these last few weeks of summer with a cool drink in hand.  Most afternoons my family and I will make a quick stop by our local Sonic for a frozen treat.  Today I decided to stay home and combine flavors that we enjoy best into a flavorful slush.

Juicy sweet watermelon and freshly squeezed lime juice make this drink a favorite in our house!

Ingredients

2 cups seedless watermelon
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1 cup ice
1/4 cup sugar(you can add more or less depending on your taste)
Directions

In blender, combine watermelon and lime juice.  Add sugar, then ice cubes a few at a time. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

  28. Sounds delicious and good way to use up some of the watermelon. I love watermelon but can never eat it all and my hubby won't touch it ~ so don't buy it very often.. May have to buy some and freeze it so that I can make these. Thanks for sharing on Foodie Friends Friday and remember to come back on Sunday to vote.
