Snow Day

We got about 7 inches of snow Sunday evening, which is pretty rare for Georgia.  Unfortunately a lot of the major highways are closed due to icy road conditions, leaving a lot of people stranded.  Schools are closed and my kids have been home since Monday.  They couldn't be happier and I love watching them enjoy the snow.

I baked s'mores in the oven using Nutella and marshmallow fluff for them to enjoy after they were done playing.

My dogs are really enjoying the snow too.  It's been fun watching them play!

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

  2. We've got a good covering of snow. Would be a lot more except for a freak thaw earlier in the month. Currently a balmy -9C (I think that's about 16-17F if I remember correctly). My husband has this weird snowman building competition going on with the neighbours. He's determined that our snowman will tower over everyone else's. Not a bad competition if only the neighbours were aware they're in it!

Oh, and s'mores! Mmmmm! Curses on my diet!

  3. Brandi...I did NOT need to see smores made with Nutella and Fluff!! That would have never occured to me to try....until now. And now I MUST try them! I mean, like I'm going to pick up the stuff at the store tonight, gotta have them! LOL

We got about 5 inches yesterday...but that's fairly typical in Indiana this time of year. Of course, little Miss Lucy, our new pug, is from San Diego, so she is not feeling the love for that much snow! I'm having to shovel a spot in my YARD for her to go potty...can you say PATHETIC! LOL

  4. Hi Brandi!

Looks like fun! It was -5 degrees when we headed out this morning. Brrrrr! My sister-in-law lives in Atlanta. Crazy that you guys have all that snow!

I am really digging those Nutella s'mores. Never in a million years would I have thought to use it to make s'mores but that's what makes your blog great! I'll let you know how the kiddos like it.

Enjoy the snow and time with your kids :)

  5. Snow as well!! Cute pictures! I love watching the dogs play in the snow, mine just love it. Unfortunately my older guy is too sore to jump and run and dive into like he used to but he still loves making his snowdog angels! :)

    Smores look really good!!!!
