Cafe Curtains From Pillowcases

When the time came to select curtains for my laundry room, I had a tough time finding something that I liked. Everything was either too expensive or just not my style. Before leaving the store empty-handed, I decided to browse the bed-linens aisle. There, I found pillow cases in a simple pattern that I loved. I decided to use the pillowcases for curtains in the laundry room. The pattern and colors were perfect and best of all, they were easy to hang and didn't involve any sewing!

Supplies and steps used:

Drapery rings with clips- 5 clips per curtain panel. Be sure to space the clips evenly.

Pair of cotton pillow cases- Lay the pillow cases flat so you can attach the curtain rings.

Iron and fabric freshener- For ironing and freshening your curtains.

Curtain Rod- Slide the rings through to attach curtain to the rod

You're done! Stand back and admire how nice your windows look.

Spring Cleaning With Mean Green

Spring cleaning has always been my favorite way of giving my home a fresh start. I can finally finish up those house projects I’ve set aside and liven up each living space. For some reason, however, it always took me forever to finish cleaning in one day due to constantly scrubbing in one area. The bathrooms take me about two hours each, the kitchen also takes up a great portion of my time and the floors are a never-ending task. Although I'm a huge fan of having a clean house, I realized there has to be a better way.

Being a Mean Green ambassador means that I no longer have to overwork  when I clean. Their strong cleaning agents do practically all the work for me so I can easily multitask.

Using their products and leaving it on surfaces for a few minutes while I work on something else means I can make the most of my time.

Spraying down my appliances and surfaces without immediately wiping them down allows the products to power through all the dirt and grimy build up. I'm able to do another spring cleaning chore, like washing all the curtains or wiping down the baseboards.

Mean Green embodies effortless cleaning, saving me from a day of headache.

A clean porch provides a welcoming entrance to your home.  It's the first thing you notice as your walk up to our house.

My porch has been stained by leaves and muddy water.

I cleaned off the residue by spraying Mean Green Anti-Bacterial Multi Surface Cleaner on the surface and letting it sit for a few minutes.

With the help of a good scrub brush, the stain was gone.

Now that I have Mean Green products on standby, I no longer stress over spring cleaning my home. What usually takes me around eight to ten hours now takes me less than six to get the job done( I like things excessively clean). In fact, cleaning is more fun because I can fully enjoy my favorite parts of sprucing up my home like planting new flowers, power washing my driveway or even touching up the walls with a new coat of paint.

Spring cleaning can now be done seamlessly and my family and I can enjoy our clean home because of Mean Green.

As-Is Home Tour

For the past week I've been sharing a peek into the rooms in my house on Instagram as part of the #TheAsIsHomeTour, hosted by Cinsarah.  Our house is a constant work in progress.  As much I love my house there are some things I would like to change/upgrade.  But that's for another day.  Today I'm going room by room sharing my house as it is!
