Fall Porch Decorating

I hope you're all having a great weekend!  We had beautiful fall weather today.  I was able to get some yard work done that I'd been postponing for the last few weeks.

After cleaning up the yard, I went to Home Depot and came home with some fall plants and pumpkins to decorate the porch with.

We had a few dead trees cut down in our yard last week and I asked my husband to save a few stumps for me.  I used the stumps to display the pumpkins.

I filled the window boxes with snapdragons, pansies and mustard greens.  Hopefully I can keep the plants alive and thriving!

I purchased the lantern last year from the thrift store.  I gave it a quick makeover with spray paint.

The pumpkin planters are candy pails purchased for $1 and filled with mums.

I've had this wreath forever.  Years later and I still love it!

That's it!  I had fun decorating my front porch this year.  I chose to keep things simple, but welcoming.  Thank you for reading, friends!

  9. Welcoming it is!!!! I love the stumps! My parents had some trees cut down on their property a couple of weeks ago and I considered asking the guys to cut me up some pieces, but I had no way to get them home. (Hubby would have had my head if I put them in my car!!!) Yours look really cool!

  32. Your porch is gorgeous - love your stumps!! We had an ice storm last October and tons of trees were downed and chopped. I wanted to save some stumps - but never got around to it before they were hauled away. Every time I see the perfect stump on my walks, I want to lug it home - but can't lift them (maybe I need to bring a wagon on my walks)!! Glad your hubs saved you those stumps!
