Watermelon Peach Sorbet

It's seriously hot right now.  Many parts of the country are experiencing heat waves.  We're all suffering!

This is nice recipe for a hot summer day.  Easy to make when it's too hot to cook.  Watermelon and peaches are delicious on their own, but even better when paired.

Ingredients
3 cups very ripe peaches, cored and peeled
3 cups yellow watermelon, seeds and rind removed
juice from one lemon
1/4 cup sugar

Directions
Puree fruit in a food processor or blender until smooth.  Add lemon juice and sugar.

Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions, freezing until firm.  Let thaw slightly to serve.

Enjoy!  Perfect for a hot summer day!

  12. Yum!

Why are you eating so healthy and fresh when all I want is hot soup? I KNOW IT'S WEIRD! It's been in the 90's and 100's in Minnesota and I'm drinking hot coffee and eating soup..

    color me inspired! :-)

  17. This sounds a lot simpler than other sorbet recipes I've come across. (The traditional ones use raw egg white. Yeah...I know!)

This one I'd love to try. I don't have an ice cream maker, but I suppose I could use a conventional freezer, if I smush up the ice crystals? Thank you for sharing.
