My Plea To The "No Reply" Bloggers

I enjoy hearing from each. and. every. one. of. you.  I would love to be able to thank you all for stopping by and leaving me such thoughtful, encouraging words, because I truly appreciate all of your visits!  I feel that it's  proper etiquette to respond to comments.  But sometimes I can't!  When I receive an email notification that someone has left a comment and I try to respond;  instead of seeing your email address, I see <noreply-comment@blogger.com>.  Also, If you ask me a question in a comment, it is easier for me to respond through email.
If you would like to receive an email response after your comment,  you can easily fix this by updating your settings.  Go to your blogger dashboard, click "edit user profile", then check "show my email address" and save!  Pretty simple huh!

I've been blogging for a little over a year now and there is so much that I didn't know when I first started.  I am so thankful for more experienced bloggers who took the time to offer me advice.  A year ago I was a "no reply" blogger too, but a fellow blogger took the time to show me how to easily correct this.  So that's what I'm doing today.  As I'm sure most of you are unaware that you are showing up this way!

  1. Well said Brandi - I couldn't agree more! And for some reason, I no longer receive email notifications from those without an email address in their profile. So now I miss a whole bunch of comments!

  2. I don't think I'm one of them. I always here from you.
I used to reply to every comment but now I only reply to comments that require a response in detail. Although I appreciate every single one, I don't have time. Sometimes my kids require things of me. They're so needy!
Speaking of that, as you know, I didn't respond to any of the comments on my last post. I just couldn't handle doing it. I'll try to send out a big "Thank you" tomorrow.

Adding the email is so easy and worth it.

  6. I was actually thinking of the same thing because you know how I love to talk and I just hate it when I can't write people back and thank them:) Great post, I will be tweeting and fb-ing this one to spread the word:) Whew, you took something off my to-do list:)

  7. Just stopping by from The Inspired Collection...love the wreath, as well as many of your other projects. I have always thought those little sticky balls would make a good wreath when I've seen them!!! Never took the time to pick 'em up though. I cruised through your site a bit and admired your projects. I'm a new follower! Have a great weekend.

  8. Thanks for the information. Am I one of the people you are referring too? {blushing} I still have so much to learn.
It is so hard to respond to everyone. It is getting very challenging for me too!

  9. Such good advice Brandi. I didn't even know that I needed to do this until a few months ago.

By they way, it was so nice to see you today!

Good luck with everything and let me know once you find out!

    Have a great weekend!

  11. Oh, yeah, I don't like it when it's a no reply. Especially for giveaways.

  12. Great post! That's actually one of the reasons I left Blogger. I've never been so good at replying to all comments, but it drove me crazy when someone asked me a question and I couldn't respond!

Now if I could just get Google to let me keep my GFC followers. :)

  13. Yes this is so true! I too like to reply to my comments via email and then even visit their blog if they have one and you can't do that when they are no reply!

Hope this helps the people out!
