I have been searching high and low for an iron bed for my daughter's room. I spotted a couple different styles while in IKEA, but they weren't quite right for my my daughter's taste. So imagine my surprise when I spotted this beauty while browsing Craigslist last night.
The seller was a good hour away from me, but that didn't make me want it any less. My husband and I drove out this morning and met the seller at his house. He was such a nice guy and we enjoyed the road trip!
The ad read as follows: Antique Iron Bed Frame - $35
Antique Iron Bed Frame, Headboard, Footboard, and Rails, Twin sized.
Fits 41" wide x 69 1/2" long box mattress, Frame is 75 1/2" long clear.

I can't wait for my daughter to get home from school, so she can see it! She's just like me and seriously enjoys thrift shopping and makeovers! But I doubt we'll agree on painting it the same color! ;) Stay tuned for the after pics!!

Btw, your entry way looks beautiful. Do you know what kind of flowers those little purple ones are in the pots on your steps? I have one of those plants, and I've wanted to get more, but haven't seen them, and don't remember what they are.

Awesome find! I really want an iron bed for myself. I've wanted one for years. We've looked at Ikea, too, but I just know there has to be one out there. My daughter and I wouldn't agree on the same color either. :)

Looks nice. My ex and I once purchased iron beds for our young daughters and all they ever did was complain until we finally got rid of it. I believe it was the fact they were accustomed to sleeping apart in twin beds though, and not so much the iron bed itself.

What a buy! I saw one very similar at Amvets a few weeks ago but I didn't need it and couldn't come up with a good enough reason to buy it but I WANTED to so bad! Yours is so cute and I know your daughter will be thrilled.

What a great find! I would love to find one. My dh and I thought we found one last weekend but it was a replica. My mother has one that was her mother's and it's really heavy. Looking forward to the room reveal.
