Shortcut Strawberry Shortcakes

This recipe came to me via my amazingly-talented cousin.  Because it's so good, I'm sharing it with you!  You can make this delicious dessert in a snap!  This is my favorite dessert for spring and summer.  I hope you like it too!

Ingredients

1 can Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Butter Tastin refrigerated biscuits
1/4 cup sugar

3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1/3 cup sugar

Whipped Cream

Directions
Heat oven to 375°F. Separate biscuits. Dip tops of each biscuit in 1/4 cup sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes.

In a medium bowl, mix strawberries and 1/3 cup sugar. Set aside.

To serve, split biscuits; place on individual dessert plates. Top with whipped cream and strawberry mixture.  Enjoy!

  9. YUMMMMY Brandi, that looks so good. My husband would think he died and went to heaven if I made this for him. He loves desserts especially cake and pie. If he's good I'll make it for his B-Day.

  10. Yummy and quick and easy...my favorite type of recipe! I just picked about 10 strawberries in my garden yesterday. They're starting to come in, and now it's a race to get the red ones before the birds do :-)
